We had 75 exhibitors from the functional food and beverage ingredients sector, more than 4,700 visitors over the two days of the fair, and 450 delegates at the NIS Conference,&quot; says Adriano Pegorelli, co-founder of NIS, held at the Transam\u00e9rica Expo Center.<\/p>\n<p>It was two days of intense networking, innovation, discussions about the future of business, and, of course, the combination of health and flavor \u2013 after all, as NIS participants proved once again, the two no longer need to be separated!<\/p>\n<p>This year, visitors were able to explore the offerings of approximately 300 national and international brands at the pavilion, including several new launches and innovations in natural, functional, and nutraceutical ingredients, vitamins, fat, sugar, and sodium substitutes, colors, extracts, and natural flavors. They were also able to see new products in the dairy protein, fiber, texturizer, antioxidant, probiotic, prebiotic, enzyme, collagen, amino acid, plant-based protein, and many other segments.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;The growth in the number of exhibitors allows for an increase in the number of new ingredients and innovations to be presented and learned about by our visitors. Exhibitors, in turn, consider the quality of the audience to be one of NIS&#039;s greatest differentiators. In other words, the event attracts a targeted audience that knows exactly what it wants, accelerating the generation of new projects and businesses,&quot; emphasizes Cassiano Facchinetti, co-founder of NIS.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-5882 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/nisummit.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/img2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"512\" height=\"341\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nisummit.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/img2.jpg 512w, https:\/\/nisummit.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/img2-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 512px) 100vw, 512px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Renata C\u00e0ssar, Beneo&#039;s nutrition communications manager for Latin America, echoes this sentiment. &quot;The event has gained significant market relevance. All our clients are familiar with NIS and come eager for information and to actively seek the solutions they need. NIS is innovative, dynamic, and tailor-made for business,&quot; she states.<\/p>\n<p>The high standards of the audience and exhibitors were also what attracted Sandro F\u00e9lix, commercial manager at Lasenor, to NIS. The company exhibited at the event for the first time this year. &quot;I came last year as a visitor to learn about the fair, and I left convinced that NIS was the ideal place to showcase the company&#039;s brand, given the level of expertise of the exhibitors and the audience\u2014who have a high level of technical knowledge and are genuinely looking for solutions.&quot;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Right place, right time<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In addition to the trade show, NIS serves as a comprehensive platform for industry professionals, featuring a conference with renowned speakers, multi-sensory experiences, and awards ceremonies. In total, visitors were treated to over 40 hours of high-quality content.<\/p>\n<p>This year, the NIS Conference brought together experts and companies to discuss the future of the sector and how to overcome the challenges facing the joint mission of working towards the healthiness of foods, beverages, and supplements.<\/p>\n<p>The event was opened by economist Ricardo Amorim, who presented an encouraging outlook for the functional and healthy nutrition sector. &quot;Despite the sector&#039;s already significant growth in recent years, I believe this is just the tip of the iceberg, for several reasons,&quot; he said during his presentation.<\/p>\n<p>He listed among the reasons for optimism the recent growth in consumer concern for their health and well-being, increased industrial competitiveness and improved product quality, and the aging of the national population. &quot;You are in the right place at the right time. And I believe that growth from now on will be even greater,&quot; Amorim stated.<br \/>\nTo bring in-depth trends and debates, the conference was divided into four thematic areas: Business, Health, Behavior, and Technology. The NIS is also essential for exchanging experiences, meeting colleagues we don&#039;t normally get to talk to in the hustle and bustle of everyday life. And, of course, tasting and learning about various products helps us think about how we can better develop our own.&quot;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Veterans<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The growth of the NIS has attracted the attention of companies in the food and beverage ingredients sector, which see it as an opportunity to expand their businesses. Targeting the audience is considered a strategic factor for developing new partnerships during the event.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;What draws our attention is the select audience, which includes key executives from our companies and clients\u2014those with the power to develop a negotiation. NIS is a strategic event for our business,&quot; says Rafael Ferrarese, head of food &amp; nutrition at IMCD, a global distributor and formulator of chemicals and specialty ingredients.<\/p>\n<p>For Andreia Tinti, sales executive at Doremus, the event guarantees commercial returns. &quot;NIS is a blend of experiences and knowledge, providing significant value to our sales department, which has already closed deals before the fair ends,&quot; she says. The company has participated in every edition of the event.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, most of the NIS exhibitors are already regulars. &quot;We&#039;re regular attendees at NIS. It&#039;s quite gratifying to see the fair&#039;s growth in recent years, both in size and quality. The event is strategic for Alibra, as we&#039;re able to reach customers and prospects we previously couldn&#039;t reach,&quot; says Tatiana Dantas, the company&#039;s marketing manager.<\/p>\n<p>Almendra, which specializes in stevia-based products, has been present at all NIS events and, this year, chose the event as the stage for announcing a new product for the Latin American market.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;For those of us who work with specialties for the food and beverage industry, NIS is the best event in Latin America for us to carry out more targeted, focused work,&quot; says Mar\u00e7al Galdino, technical sales manager.<\/p>\n<p>Clarice Fukuya, general manager for Latin America at Innophos, emphasizes the importance of the NIS Conference, the event&#039;s congress. &quot;This is our third time participating. NIS is a growing event due to its technical-focused congress. This creates an environment for companies to present and launch innovations, and it educates the audience. NIS is a space for connecting with existing and new customers.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>With the event successfully concluded, organizers are already looking ahead to the 2025 edition of NIS. Adriano Pegorelli states that the exhibitor layout has already been renewed by 70% for next year.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;We aim to reach approximately 90 companies in the fifth edition. Furthermore, we will continue working to bring even more renowned speakers to the NIS Conference, delivering more for our partners and attendees each year. NIS will continue to be a dedicated event, focused on content, functionality, health, and quality of attendance,&quot; he states.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Golden Acai Award<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On the first day of the event, the 2nd Golden A\u00e7a\u00ed Awards took place, created to honor the industry and professionals who invest in innovation, new ingredients, processes, and packaging, aiming to create increasingly healthier, functional, and affordable products for consumers.
