The organization announced a new plan to meet the growing demand for new sponsor spaces and accommodate the public safely, respecting all social distancing and health regulations and protocols for resuming events.
The NIS, which was initially scheduled to take place on May 24th and 25th, 2021, at the Pro Magno Events Center, announced a strategic change and will now take place at the Transamerica Expo Center, in São Paulo, on October 19th and 20th, 2021, with both in-person and hybrid formats.
As part of the NIS business plan, this change addresses the growing demand for spaces from new sponsors, which reinforces the event's success. To date, 30 major brands have been confirmed, and this number is expected to increase in the coming months, as several ongoing negotiations are expected to conclude soon. "We expected to reach this number in May, but now we must surpass the 45-company mark, and to achieve this, we need more space, more infrastructure, and more security for our sponsors and visitors. Without a doubt, the Transamerica Expo Center is the ideal location for the NIS, and we are very pleased with this announcement," commented Cassiano Facchinetti, Director of the NIS.
Furthermore, the change aims to safely accommodate the more than 1,500 visitors, delegates, and partners expected to circulate through the pavilion over the two days of the event. "We are investing in more space to ensure that the NIS takes place on schedule and without any losses for our sponsors. We are closely monitoring all changes related to the pandemic, confident in the vaccination plan and the imminent resumption of in-person events. However, we are also preparing a contingency plan in case any changes are necessary in the coming months," added Cassiano.
Believing in the success and great potential of the event, the organization also announced that it has already secured the date for 2022 at the same location, therefore NIS will take place annually in 2021 and 2022 and will be the only ingredients event on the pavilion's calendar.
"We understand and believe in the business potential and execution that are hallmarks of the NIS organizers. The event has everything it needs to be a success, and we are delighted to contribute to its development and success," said Adele Bartolucci, General Manager of the Transamerica Expo Center.
The Nutri Ingredients Summit is now the only 100% event focused on health in the ingredients market for the food, beverage, supplement and pharmaceutical industries. The partnership with the new pavilion enhances the initiative. In addition to the excellent operational infrastructure with larger exhibition and conference areas, it also allows us to activate new experiences for visitors, such as NIStart! (a space for new startups) and the NIS Taste Experience (a tasting island for functional and indulgent prototypes).
And the news doesn't stop there. A new virtual event will be held on May 24th and 25th, 2021, where NIS will once again bring together leading industry experts to discuss key trends and technologies in the functional ingredients universe. Following the success of the November 2020 virtual edition, to complement the attendee experience, a virtual trade show will showcase the sponsors' innovative solutions in a dynamic and objective manner, generating engagement and business.
Finally, a series of Thematic Webinars throughout the year will bring more technical content relevant to the industry, strengthening the Nutri Ingredients Summit's purpose of positioning itself as a platform for knowledge, relationships, and opportunities.
"NIS continues its journey of consolidation within the ecosystem in which it operates, and the move to TEC undoubtedly reaffirms our commitment to our partners and visitors, striving for satisfaction and, above all, the safety of all involved. The strategic initiatives launched in 2021 will provide a richer and more effective experience for our target audience." These are the words of NIS Marketing Director Adriano Pegorelli.
