NIS Virtual, the online version of the Nutri Ingredients Summit, exceeds expectations and presents innovative ingredient solutions and high-quality content for the food and pharmaceutical industries.

With the motto of how to understand how to serve an increasingly demanding and diverse consumer, who is looking for food as a source of health, NIS is consolidating itself in the market as the ingredients event with a focus on healthiness.

On November 9th and 10th, professionals involved in the development process of functional, healthy foods, nutraceuticals and dietary supplements were able to attend presentations by renowned experts and interact, safely in a virtual environment, with suppliers of ingredients and solutions for the industry.

During the two-day online event, NIS had 1,330 visitors and a peak of 680 simultaneous accesses to the main stage, where visitors could attend lectures on trends, consumption habits, the supplement market and regulation, plant-based innovation, innovation cases, entrepreneurship and an overview of the new labeling approved by Anvisa, a topic that is being widely discussed in the industry.

NIS Virtual is the online edition of the Nutri Ingredients Summit, an in-person event taking place on May 24th and 25th in São Paulo. Comprising a summit and a B2B exhibition, the event will showcase innovations, technologies, and trends in ingredients and nutrition, focusing on health, for the food, beverage, supplement, and pharmaceutical industries.

"NIS Virtual was certainly a huge success and exceeded our expectations. We received a highly qualified audience and a very significant number of visitors for such a specific online event. It was the perfect kickoff for NIS to showcase its unique positioning in the market and prepare for the in-person event in May 2021," commented Cassiano Facchinetti, Director of New Business at GMF, one of the organizers of NIS. "Our goal is to position ourselves as the leading event for ingredients and solutions for the industry with a focus on health," concludes Cassiano.

NIS is an initiative and organization of GMF, a startup in the live marketing sector, together with Ânggulo, a communications and experiences agency specializing in the ingredients market, with major clients in the sector.

"Transporting the pavilion environment into the digital world was a huge challenge and a disruptive experience for everyone involved, and I believe the main objectives of content, relationship building, and lead generation were achieved. This shows us that the trend toward hybrid events is becoming a reality," commented Adriano Pegorelli of Ânggulo Comunicação. "The virtual fair was very well structured, and the dynamic presentations were the highlight of the NIS, which motivates us to develop new strategies and products. Today, we are certain that the NIS has only just begun," added Adriano.

The NIS was co-organized by ITAL, Equilibrium, Mintel, and Visanco, which formed the Technical Committee to develop content in a neutral, cohesive manner that permeated all areas of new product development. In addition to this team of experts, the NIS had the support and participation of leading associations representing the ingredients and food industries, such as ABIAM, the event's master sponsor, as well as ABIA, ABIAD, ABIMAPI, and ABIR.

According to Luis Madi, Director of Institutional Affairs at ITAL, “NIS fulfilled its role and delivered a top-level international event, with high-quality lectures and plenty of innovation and information for the industry to improve.

For Gisele Camargo, Director of Research Programming and Deputy Director of ITAL, "The NIS covered different links in the ingredients and food chain and highlighted trends and future directions for action. This is crucial for achieving real innovation, integrating each sector, and maximizing results."

Gislene Cardozo, Executive Director of ABIAD, concluded: "I would like to highlight the richness of the debate during these two conferences at NIS. This exchange of knowledge and ideas, as well as case studies on innovations, technologies, and trends in ingredients and nutrition, contributes to strengthening the sector and developing the market. ABIAD, as the main interlocutor for the special-purpose food sector, will always support events like NIS, which enhance and solidify the segment."
