The second edition of NIS Virtual presents significant growth in the number of visitors and consolidates its position in the market as a content and business platform for the ingredients industry.

The event had more than 2,200 visitors over the two days, featured more than 15 hours of live content, 26 technical presentations and panels with renowned experts from across the industry, discussing the future of food.

The second edition of NIS Virtual, an online event that is part of the Nutri Ingredients Summit's hybrid strategy, was well-received by the market and especially by the organizers, who celebrated the growth in viewership and visitor engagement. Over 2,200 visitors were attracted over the two-day event, representing a 30% increase compared to the first edition last November, which had approximately 1,700 visitors.

"We're noticing that the NIS brand is growing in visibility and relevance in the ingredients market, primarily due to the high-quality content we're bringing to industry professionals through NIS Virtual and the monthly webinars we're organizing with our sponsors and partners. This growth is the result of a well-designed digital strategy that, coupled with highly relevant and technical content, greatly enhances our visitor engagement," says Cassiano Facchinetti, founding partner of NIS.

Guided by the central theme "Food as a Source of Health," the Virtual NIS was divided into four discussion segments: new labeling and clean label, new ingredients and innovation, and dietary supplements and immunity. Within these segments, the event offered an extensive and comprehensive content slate, covering numerous consumer trends, regulatory challenges, new ingredients, and applications. Renowned experts, strategic partners, and sponsors presented their solutions to address industry challenges.

Representatives from Anvisa, ABIAM, ABIA, ITAL, ABIAD, Visanco, Equilibrium, Mintel, SVB, and Locale participated in the online conference. A new addition to this edition was the participation of retailers in a panel on challenges for retail implementing industry innovations, moderated by Locale, with the participation of Natural da Terra and Super Muffato.

In addition to the content, visitors had access to a virtual fair with the participation of 22 sponsors and ingredient suppliers, who presented new products and solutions for the industry to develop the food of the future, with a focus on healthiness, which is undoubtedly the industry niche that invests the most in innovation and R&D, to serve increasingly demanding and diverse consumers.

"NIS is the only event dedicated to this industry segment and exclusively for professionals directly involved in the new product development process within the food, beverage, dietary supplement, and pharmaceutical industries. We are pleased to serve as a content and business-generation platform for these professionals, enabling them to contribute to the advancement of the industry as a whole," commented Adriano Pegorelli, one of the founding partners of NIS.

Going forward, NIS will offer a monthly webinar schedule on plant-based, non-dairy, clean label, and other topics, starting in late June. These events will serve as a warm-up for the in-person NIS, scheduled for October 19th and 20th of this year at the Transamerica Expo Center in São Paulo.

"We are confident that events will resume very soon and are closely monitoring all government and trade show industry regulations. If there are any changes that impact the quality of our event and the safety of exhibitors and attendees, we will take the necessary measures, which will be communicated to the market in due course," concluded Cassiano Facchinetti.
