The NIS – Nutri Ingredients Summit, a driving force behind the conference, showcases the sector's new business trends across four themes: Business, Health, Behavior, and Technology.

São Paulo, February 2024 – The NIS Conference reaches its fourth edition in 2024 with the mission of answering a fundamental question: How should the industry prepare for the waves that will impact the future of food, beverages, and dietary supplements? To this end, the conference brings together renowned experts and renowned speakers from April 23rd to 24th at the Transamérica Expo Center in São Paulo.
The event is part of the NIS – Nutri Ingredients Summit, a complete platform developed to stimulate innovation in business and includes a trade fair, conference, multisensory experiences and awards.
"The Conference is the heart of NIS. Our content arena has built the event's reputation since its first edition, bringing relevant topics to the markets involved in a dynamic, disruptive, and current way," says Adriano Pegorelli, co-founder of NIS.
Curated and coordinated by Cristina Leonhardt, managing partner of Manbu and Ms. Inovadeira, the conference's theme is "The New Wave of Business for the Food and Supplement Industries." To showcase trends and in-depth discussions, the NIS Conference will be divided into four thematic waves: Business, Health, Behavior and Technology.
"All waves are directly connected. After all, business will only exist if there is investment in new technologies and if we pay close attention to the needs and behavior of the modern consumer, who increasingly seeks health, convenience, and well-being," emphasizes Cassiano Facchinetti, also co-founder of NIS.
As a backdrop to all the sectoral trends, the country's economic direction will also be discussed during the NIS Conference. And it will be addressed by a prominent figure: the respected economist Ricardo Amorim, participating in the event for the first time.
To delve deeper into discussions about the food industry, the event features several other prominent participants. Among them are researcher and healthy futures thinker Ligia Zotini and Larissa Sielichoff, pricing expert and CEO/founder of Priceloop.
Also confirmed are Geórgia Castro, a food engineer and founding partner of VivaNutrição, and Michel Haddad, a psychiatrist and director of the Brazilian Institute of Practical Pharmacology, who will both address the relationship between mental health and nutrition. "We know that the debate on mental health has dominated discussions in the industry, and we've seen a greater awareness of the role that nutrition plays in our mental health and well-being," says Leonhardt.
The curator also highlights the discussions on behavior. "The presentations will provide a comprehensive overview of trends in Brazil, covering all regions of the country," she says.
Pegorelli, in turn, highlights the Business Wave program. "It will open the congressmen's eyes to various opportunities in our sector, trends in which they can invest and undertake."
The quality of the NIS Conference program, which also features speakers from companies such as Kantar, Mintel, Biolinker, Cellva, and Essentia Group, is reflected in the demand for tickets: the first two batches are already sold out.
