Organics: a market to be explored

To share

The search for naturalness and healthiness is increasingly present among Brazilian consumers, with products that are naturally healthy gaining prominence, that is, those that, by their very origin, gain the status of 'good'.

And within this segment we can find organic foods, foods free from the use of pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, antibiotics and hormones (in the case of products of animal origin), at any stage of cultivation or processing, and GMOs (genetically modified organisms), grown in a sustainable environment.

According to Organis research, 19% of Brazilians consume some form of organic product. This market generated R$4.5 billion in revenue in Brazil in 2019, representing growth of between 10% and 15%.

And what can we expect for the future? Projections are positive. The Brazilian organics market is expected to grow by at least 10% in 2020, representing a significant opportunity.
